Letters, 1917-1923.

Letters concerning her work and politics. Seven letters are to the private collector Fritz Koening with discussion of her works, price of drawings, and politics of the art market. She mentions the travelling exhibition in honor of her 50th birthday and comments on the political situation in Berlin after World War I. One letter to Hans Wolfgang Singer (Kupferstichkabinett in Dresden) in which Kollwitz refers to the series of lithographs of "Bilder aus der Kriegszeit" (1919). A postcard dated 1917 addressed to the bookstore Morgenstern concerns illustrations for "Die Weber."
